In order to correctly design, size and build the different components of a building as regards the aspects of thermal insulation and energy saving, it is necessary to know the climatic conditions of the municipality in which the building is built, expressed by the climatic zone and by the Day Degrees, while as regards the structural aspects it is necessary to refer to the seismic classification (seismic zone) of the municipality. By entering the desired municipality, its seismic zone, climatic zone, degree day and altitude will be displayed. In particular, the law divides Italy into six climatic zones (from A to F) on the basis of the average temperatures recorded during the year: so if in the Municipalities where the climate is more rigid, we start as early as October 15 for 14 hours at day, in the "hottest" ones it will wait until December 1st and only for 6 hours.
